Charville Primary School - Pupil Voice

At Charville we have groups of pupils including our House Captains, Sports’ Leaders, School Council representatives and members of the Eco Council.

House Captains: These are members of Year 6 and they are selected in September and are then involved in key events throughout the year such as fund raising events including the MacMillan Coffee Morning and Children in Need; they also support with Sports’ Day.

Sports’ Leaders: These children are from Year 6 and are selected by the PE coordinator to promote sport within the school. These children help organise and coordinate sports events as well as represent the school at a range of sporting events such as Football and Cross Country.

School Council Representatives: These children are selected by their class and sit on the council for a year. Each class from Reception to Year 6 have a representative on the council and they meet each month with our Learning Mentors. During the meetings they have a clear agenda about school issues and the minutes are then issued to all members of staff who are invited to respond to their ideas and comments.

Eco Representatives: These children are also selected by their class and sit on the group for a year. Each class from Reception to Year 6 have a representative in the group and they meet each month with our Eco leader. During the meetings they have a clear agenda about environmental issues and the minutes are then issued to all members of staff who are invited to respond to their ideas and comments.
